Ministry of Supervision
Learn things and make connections!
WITH EVENT FACILITATOR TED DODD
In the busy-ness of doing ministry, taking on the role ofnsupervisor, provides a disciplined opportunity for intentional reflection. As a complex vocation, ministry expects much in terms of skills, attitude and competencies. Supervisors are asked to help shape individuals toward integrated faith, and develop ministers who are aware of themselves, others, social context, and the big questions of theology and spirit.
This course is specifically designed to prepare participants to serve as Ministry Supervisors in the United Church of Canada. A combination of a five-day intensive followed by a series of webinars will encourage the development of the skills and capacities for successful supervision. This course will also prepare supervisors to engage in French/bilingual and emerging ministry settings. Participants who successfully complete the course will be accredited as Ministry Supervisors for the United Church of Canada.
