My dear colleagues,

I am sending you a note I sent to my congregation at Aylmer UC this morning. This news is hitting us in Quebec quite hard. Please share this info as you are able and come in support if you can.

You may be having your own events. We all stand together.

I did not hear the news until this morning - the violence in the Mosque in Quebec City. Very quickly connections across Aylmer were made and the religious communities are coming together in support of our Muslim sisters and brothers from the Aylmer Mosque.

You may forward your 2016 congregational gifts for Mission & Service in one of three ways:

November 29 is ‘#Giving Tuesday’ and I have been challenged by the Moderator, the Right Reverend Jordan Cantwell to give a gift using the United Church’s ‘Gifts with Vision’ catalogue.  There are many wonderful choices, both House of Lazarus and Rideau Hill Camp within our Synode Montreal & Ottawa Conference, and others supporting ministry across Canada or with global partners around the world.
